Oh, the fair

We feel really lucky because the whole week we’ve been able to have lots of family time. This is rare when Nate’s in school. Last night we took the yearly Jones’ trip to the Ozark Empire Fair, where only the finest of Missouri come out. I love that familiar feeling of being greeted by the smell of farm animals and fried food. Nate went in confident that he could top last year’s consumption of six corndogs. We watched our darling niece and nephew ride some kiddie rides and then decided to find the ol trusty Tilt-a-Whirl. Nate, Tory, Chris and I piled into one cart and were squished in to the point that couldn’t budge. No one wants to ride the Tilt-a-Whirl. Its only three tickets and about a million years old. Because of this we were left on the ride for about 20 minutes. We all agreed that this ride was totally underrated and were shrieking with joy for a total of about 10 minutes. Then we were green. It finally stopped and while Tory and Nate were recovering Chris got me on the Pirate Ship. I have never really liked this ride thanks to an episode at Dog Patch USA in Arkansas when a girl barfed on me after the ride. The pirate ship scared me but it totally fun. On the way out we stopped to watch some cows being milked-it was a nice way to end the night.
