Lovely Labor Day

I went to Florida this weekend to visit Sarissa (we all miss her to pieces). What a great trip I had. Friday night we met Emily and Molly (my beloved cousins) for dinner and drinks. We spend Saturday at Honeymoon Island. This is truly one of the most beautiful beaches that I have been to. Sarissa and I were able to walk out about a quarter of a mile and still touch. Lots of waves to knock us over too! At one point we saw everyone gathered around what we thought was some spectacular sea life. We found ourselves in the middle of a baptism. What a sight! That night we went to Restaurant BT. The food was totally up to my expectations. Healthy, innovative and delicious. Vietnamese with French influence, we had spring rolls that were pretty standard but still excellent. Our main of ginger shrimp and baked sea bass were amazing. Both served with lemongrass infused sticky rice. Oh, and the drinks were to die for. Lots of fresh fruit cocktails. Sunday it rained so my wonderful hostess-with-the-mostess indulged me in shopping, stopping for Cubans for lunch in between. That night we met Molly, Mark, Emily and Jeff at Crazy Buffet. I typically am anti-buffet but this place was an exception. I stuffed myself silly with sashimi and sampled tons of other fresh rolls and nigiri. It is crazy! Monday, we said our goodbyes and I can’t wait to take Nate back when Curt arrives. Thanks Riss, my love, had the best time!
