Tourist

Saturday we woke up to take a West Village food tour of NYC. We’ve never been tour type of people, but will hands-down recommend this little gem of one to each and every guest that comes to the humble Jones’ abode. Our guide was a cool and younger native, who filled my brain with totally useful NYC knowledge. But the best part is that my belly was filled with culinary delights from a mostly Italian neighborhood. We stopped at 2 pizza places, Murrays Cheese Shop, Rocco’s Pastry, O&Co Olive Oil, Amy’s Bread, Faocco’s Pork Store (best rice balls ever!), Aphrodisia Herbs, Milk and Cookies and for a Turkish swarma at the end (I forgot the name). There is so much food on this tour that my pants were unbuttoned by the pork store. Nothing was short of phenomenal and it was nice to give these local shops business. Plus, I love being a tourist. We looked awesome in our I Heart NY t-shirts and Lady Liberty foam hats.
