Back home

Nate and I recently spent 5 days back home in Springfield. Since we didn’t spend any of the past holidays there, it was so great to get to finally see our family and friends. We also decided we would celebrate the Mr.’s 30th birthday while on the trip. With the help of some of my friends, we had a nice little surprise party at the top of Ebbet’s that was the best of times. Really though, it’s impossible to go wrong with free flowing pitchers of beer, fried food and a room full of the people that you love the most. Nate had the best time and even scored a dirty mouthed parrot, a sweet pimp cup, that he’s drinking his morning coffee from, a winning $25 lottery ticket and beer-of-the-month membership. My best gift was the look on my grandmas face when she found Nate in had somehow woke up in the middle of the night, wandered around and finally chose to pass out in the living room in nothing but his underwear. She told me that she didn’t even know if he has those on because it took her a moment to see that they were actually a light shade of yellow. Ahh, to be 30 again.
